Who We Serve

Neurodivergent Children & Adults

Strong families are built when every member has the support they need to thrive. Respite care gives caregivers time to rest, recharge and tend to their own health, relationships and responsibilities while knowing their child is receiving compassionate, individualized care. Homeschooling support can also reduce daily stress by providing children with a flexible learning environment shaped around their strengths, needs and pace. For young adults, peer support provides opportunities to build confidence, practice social skills and develop meaningful relationships with others who share similar experiences. A supportive community can encourage independence, reduce isolation and create a stronger sense of belonging.

Helping every member of the family thrive

When neurodivergent children and adults feel understood and caregivers feel supported, when parents get help coordinating the care they need, families are better equipped to navigate challenges, celebrate progress and grow stronger.

Together, the support felt from our services can create greater stability at home, strengthen family relationships and allow parents and caregivers to be more present and connected.

The people who we serve

There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the life-changing impact that respite care can have on an entire family.

Parents (Primary Caregivers)

We see parents and caregivers who have spent months or even years pouring every ounce of themselves into caring for someone they love finally have the opportunity to take a deep breath. They can enjoy a date night with their spouse, reconnect with friends, attend a fitness class, read a book, pursue a hobby, go to a doctor's appointment or simply take an uninterrupted nap without worrying whether their loved one is safe. For many, it's the first time in a long time they've been able to do something just for themselves. Learn more about in-home respite care and live-in caregiver placements.

Children with special needs

Every child deserves to feel understood, supported and valued for who they are. We work with children who have a wide range of developmental, physical, behavioral and emotional support needs, providing individualized care that reflects each child’s personality, abilities, routines and preferences. Our goal is to create safe, encouraging experiences that help children build confidence, enjoy meaningful connection and thrive at their own pace. Children who have struggled in a traditional school setting

Children who learn differently than their peers can benefit from individualized instruction and a smaller, more supportive learning environment, especially when learning connects to their interests. Some children also need additional academic or social-emotional support, along with greater flexibility in pace, schedule and instructional approach. With the right environment and support, children can build confidence, stay engaged and make meaningful progress toward important academic and developmental milestones. Neurodivergent Adults

Neurodivergent adults may benefit from support that respects their independence while helping them navigate daily routines, relationships, social opportunities and personal goals. We provide compassionate, person-centered assistance shaped around each individual’s strengths, preferences and desired level of support. Whether the focus is companionship, community engagement, skill development or greater independence, we aim to help every person feel understood, connected and empowered. Families trying to get support

Navigating therapies, advocates, schools, insurance, and more for your family can feel overwhelming and exhausting, especially when you’re paying out of pocket and still struggling to find the right support. We help families cut through the noise. We’ve built a trusted referral community of vetted providers who understand that every child is different and that finding the right fit matters.

We support families in navigating Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy, ABA and more. Unsure which school setting is best? Need a knowledgeable advocate by your side? We’ll connect you with professionals who align with your child’s unique needs and your family’s goals. You don’t have to do this alone. Learn more about care coordination services.

Companies, Organizations and Community Providers

We partner with organizations, agencies, and community providers to deliver high-quality, inclusive childcare directly at your events and programs. Whether you are hosting a parent training, support group, conference, staff event, workshop, or community gathering, our team travels to you to provide safe, engaging, and individualized childcare support for children of all abilities.

We understand that families are more likely to attend and fully participate when they know their children are supported by experienced, compassionate caregivers. Our goal is to remove barriers for families while helping organizations create truly inclusive spaces. Learn more about inclusive event childcare.

Antanesha

Our caregiver was AMAZING! I told her she is a part of our family now and I’ll be sending more dates for her.

Doug

My son is also 24 years old and we have spent a looong time trying to find the right fit for his needs. We recently used Heart & Home to search for a caregiver/companion for our son and they hit it out of the ballpark... the perfect fit for what we needed.
