Our roots in Raleigh
Our journey in Raleigh began with a passion for connecting families to trusted local resources that support the special needs community. As we built relationships with providers and started networking groups throughout the regions we serve now, one need stood out above the rest: families were struggling to find reliable, high-quality respite care they could truly trust.
The more we learned about how respite care was being delivered, the more concerned we became. We heard heartbreaking stories from parents who had experienced inconsistent care, last-minute cancellations and providers who simply didn't understand their child's unique needs. Families deserved better.
Respite care, reimagined
That realization led to the launch of Heart & Home Connections. We started with just three respite providers and a vision to completely reimagine what respite care could look like, which meant focusing on reliability, meaningful relationships, highly vetted caregivers and truly family-centered support.
The impact was immediate. Families finally had dependable care they could count on. The relief and joy they experienced quickly spread through word of mouth and what started as a small local effort grew faster than we ever imagined. Soon, families were reaching out not only across the Triangle, but from Charlotte and even Northern Virginia, all asking for the same thing: trusted respite care.
Wherever there is a need, we are committed to serving families with the compassionate, dependable support they deserve.
